Volgograd Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1, founded in 1905, is the largest multidisciplinary clinic in the region, providing planned, urgent and emergency medical care 24/7 to patients from the districts of the region and Volgograd, as well as other regions and countries.
Annually:
- more than 130 thousand patients are admitted by doctors of the outpatient clinic service of the hospital,
- 30 thousand patients treated in the hospital,
- hospital surgeons perform more than 16 thousand operations.
The hospital's bed capacity is 936 beds.
The clinic has 40 diagnostic and treatment departments, where patients are examined and treated annually, and 6 regional centers operate:
- Regional Neurosurgical Center,
- Volgograd Regional Endocrinological Center,
- Volgograd Regional Center for Pelvic Floor Surgery,
- Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Epilepsy and Extrapyramidal Disorders,
- Regional Vascular Center (for the treatment of ONMC and ACS),
- Regional otorhinolaryngological Center.
Comprehensive and high-tech medical care is available to patients in 12 profiles: neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery, general, thoracic, maxillofacial surgery, traumatology and orthopedics, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, endocrinology and dermatovenerology.
The hospital has its own polyclinic, which provides outpatient counseling to patients in 20 profiles, medical and genetic counseling, a center for family health and reproduction, an outpatient oncological care center, and a sign language center.
The clinic offers all types of diagnostics: expert ultrasound, CT, MRI, angiographic complex, endoscopic diagnostics with anesthesia. A wide range of laboratory diagnostics is presented in the clinical diagnostic, bacteriological and molecular biological (PCR) laboratory of the regional clinical hospital.
The hospital's Telemedicine Center provides consultations on 20 medical profiles, and there is an existing agreement with 16 NMIC and federal centers.
There are more than 1300 employees on staff. One of the advantages of the clinic is highly qualified personnel. Among the medical staff of the hospital:

On the basis of the Regional Neurosurgical Center, the most complex operations on the brain and spinal cord are performed, including for tumor and vascular pathology, pharmacoresistant epilepsy; operations are performed using microscopes, X-ray c-arc, modern navigation system, endoscopic equipment. The center has a specialized department of neuro-intensive care, staff psychologists, neuro-ophthalmologists, neurophysiologists, rehabilitologists.
Within the framework of the national program "Fight against cardiovascular diseases", a regional vascular center is operating on the basis of GBUZ "VOKB No. 1" to provide medical care to patients with acute cerebral circulatory disorders and acute coronary syndrome.
The structure of the RSC was designed with the participation of the chief freelance specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for neurosurgery Krylov V.V., taking into account the requirements of the procedures and standards of medical care for patients with ONMC of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
Specialized specialists of the RSC: neurologists, cardiologists, work in close cooperation with the diagnostic services of the department of radiation and functional diagnostics, X-ray endovascular surgeons and the rehabilitation service of the hospital. Specialists in medical rehabilitation, social work, speech therapist, and medical psychologist work with patients and their relatives in the RCC.
The RSC is equipped with modern high-tech equipment for resuscitation, surgical, diagnostic medical care, as well as medical care at the rehabilitation stage, including an angiographic complex with the possibility of performing endovascular diagnostic and therapeutic interventions on brachiocephalic, intracerebral, coronary arteries, robotic equipment for medical rehabilitation, modern ultrasound imaging systems, functional diagnostics.
In 2022, a level III molecular biology (PCR) laboratory was opened as part of the hospital's clinical diagnostic laboratory, which is ready to perform over 500 studies per day. Its discovery makes it possible to detect more than 2,000 strains of an infectious agent with the ineffectiveness of other research methods, reduce the diagnostic time, promptly diagnose and start treatment on time.
In 2022, VTB No. 1 was recognized as the Best organization for foreign economic activity in the Volgograd region in 2021.
In 2023, VOCB No. 1 took 1st place in the district stage of the All-Russian competition exporter of the Year in the service sector in the category "Big Business 2022".
In the period from 2018 to 2022, the hospital successfully developed, repaired, retrofitted, increasing its capacity and human resources, achieved positive results in terms of basic medical and demographic, financial and economic indicators, quality and safety indicators of medical activities.
