Tricuspid valve repair is a valve-preserving correction of right atrioventricular valve insufficiency. Tricuspid valve plasty is performed with a hemodynamically significant defect that is not accompanied by gross changes in the valve leaflets. In cardiac surgery, several methods have been proposed for suture and annuloplasty of the tricuspid valve. Bicuspidalization, or Boyd suture plasty, is carried out by imposing and tightening a U-shaped suture on the fibrous ring, which reduces the diameter of the valve opening. In semicircular annuloplasty (according to De Vega, Amosov), the expanded annulus is narrowed using a half-string suture. Carpentier ring annuloplasty is performed by suturing the support ring.
