Better tolerance: The Tomotherapy system uses a patented beamforming technology that minimizes radiation exposure on healthy organs and tissues surrounding the tumor, thereby improving treatment tolerance and the patient's quality of life.
Fewer side effects: Patients suffer fewer negative side effects compared to patients receiving conventional radiation therapy. The treatment is well tolerated on an outpatient basis. The session lasts 10-15 minutes.
Less sessions: The Tomotherapy system makes it possible to irradiate tumors of very complex shapes and localizations, the length of exposure can reach 135 cm. In some cases, several focuses of the disease all over the body can be simultaneously irradiated in one session.
Higher effectiveness: The accuracy of dose delivery in certain situations allows the use of the Tomotherapy system to treat patients who have already received radiation therapy before, but a relapse has occurred in the irradiation zone.
Shorter treatment course: The Tomotherapy system has additional options for stereotaxic irradiation and radiosurgery, when small tumors are irradiated with large doses for several sessions, thereby reducing the duration of the treatment course.
