Female diseases - treatment in Russia

Sometimes even the smallest deviations in female physiology can have a significant impact on a woman’s body. For its part, infectious, endocrine, nervous and other diseases can provoke diseases of the female genital area. Therefore, the treatment of gynecological diseases sometimes requires the involvement of other medical specialists: mammologist, urologist, venereologist, oncologist.

Therefore, in modern gynecology, the prevention of diseases of the female genital area, issues of contraception and family planning play an important role. Gynecological diseases can be divided into several groups: inflammatory diseases (adnexitis, vulvitis, vaginitis, cervicitis, endometritis, etc.); diseases caused by hormonal changes (menstrual irregularities, polycystic ovaries, uterine fibroids, etc.); dystrophic, hyperplastic and tumor diseases (leukoplakia, kraurosis, erosion of the cervix, ovarian cystomas, etc.). Each disease has its own clinical manifestations, but the most characteristic symptoms of many women’s diseases are lower abdominal pain, pathological discharge from the genital tract, and menstrual dysfunction.

In the diagnosis of female diseases, modern methods are widely used today: laboratory, ultrasound, endoscopic, laparoscopic, which make it possible to recognize the disease in its initial phase and carry out the necessary treatment in a timely manner.

The gold standard of gynecology suggests that even a woman who feels completely healthy, at least once a year, should undergo an ultrasound of the pelvic organs, an ultrasound of the mammary glands and pass a cytological smear.
