Leukemia is a malignant lesion of bone marrow tissue, leading to impaired maturation and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells of leukocytes, their uncontrolled growth and dissemination throughout the body in the form of leukemic infiltrates. Symptoms of leukemia may include weakness, weight loss, fever, bone pain, causeless hemorrhages, lymphadenitis, spleno- and hepatomegaly, meningeal symptoms, and frequent infections.
