Balanoposthitis treatment in Russia

Balanoposthitis is an inflammation of the glans penis and prepuce. Symptoms are pain, swelling, rashes, and accumulation of secretions in the preputial sac. The diagnosis is established by physical examination, laboratory diagnostics are carried out to find out the cause: microscopy of a smear from the urethra, bacterial culture for flora and antibiotic sensitivity, PCR tests for STIs. A skin biopsy is performed in the absence of positive dynamics during therapy to exclude a neoplastic process. Treatment depends on the pathogenetic factor, it can be conservative (antibiotics, antihistamines, corticosteroids), in case of tumor pathology and in the absence of an effect, it can be operative.
